We are a few hours away from our the 2021 CAF Champions League final, which will be our 14th final in the competition's history. 

Tonight, we will be facing South Africa's Kaizer Chiefs, who will appear in the competition's final for first time in history. 

We know how to secure the trophy when it comes to facing a team from South Africa in the final, given our results against South African teams in the final. 

We faced Mamelodi Sundowns in 2001 when we were searching for our third title and our first after 14-year hiatus. 

The first leg in South Africa ended in a 1-1 draw, with Sayed Abdelhafiz, our current director of football, scoring our goal in the game. 

In Cairo, we delivered one of our best performances in the competition's history and won the game 3-0, all the scored by the legs of one man, Khaled Bebo. 

In 2013, we have been already extended our record to seven titles and we were targeting the eighth. 

Inspired by what happened 12 years earlier, we were able to secure a 1-1 draw in South Africa thanks to Mohamed Aboutrika's outstanding free kick. 

The return leg in Cairo was tough on both teams but two second-half goals from Aboutrika and Ahmed Abdelzaher handed us the title for the second year in a row.
